Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Congress (M) leader Jose K Mani on Tuesday asserted that his party has no plans to quit the Left Democratic Front (LDF) or join the United Democratic Front (UDF), dismissing speculation triggered by the party's performance in the local body elections. He was addressing the media after attending the LDF meeting on Tuesday. He told the media that LDF would examine the reasons behind the poll setback in detail. "LDF secured 2,198 votes in the Pala Assembly constituency. In Thodupuzha municipality, the Joseph group won only one seat. In the local body elections, Kerala Congress (M) has retained its traditional vote base. When the results are examined closely, the UDF's victory margin was only around 2,000 votes.
