Nagpur: The application process for the JEE Main conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) will begin in October. The examination will be held twice, first in January and then in April 2026.The examination is conducted for admission to various engineering colleges across the state and country. Students who qualify in this are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced for IIT admissions. NTA has informed that the application process for JEE Main will begin this month itself. These applications will be for the examination to be held in January and will have to be submitted online.Prior notice about commencement of the application process was given earlier on September 29. This advance notice was given so that students do not face any difficulties in the application process and they get sufficient time to submit various necessary documents.NTA is considering providing examination centres in more cities to increase the number of students appearing for the exam. Efforts are also being made to provide more facilities to differently-abled students. Information regarding various aspects related to the application process has been provided on NTA's website already.As announced by NTA, the first JEE will be conducted between January 21 to 30, 2026. The second session examination will be held between April 1 to 10, 2026. NTA has said that applications for the April examination will be made available in the last week of January.
