NEW DELHI: Two men and a minor were apprehended for allegedly stabbing two youths from Manipur in northwest Delhi's Model Town. The incident occurred after the victims objected to being pushed and verbally abused by the suspects at a shop. Police have started an investigation after the two were taken to the hospital.The victims are residents of Model Town area. Police said the incident took place on July 31. One of the victims told officers that he was preparing for competitive examinations and was out for a walk with his friend on the day of the incident. Around 4 am, they arrived at a shop to get cold water. "In the meantime, three or four boys, aged about 18-22, arrived at the same shop on two motorcycles without helmets," the complainant told the police. 2 youths stabbed: Cops looking for 4th suspect We were at the counter, and the boys had difficulty entering the shop. They started pushing us and using abusive language. They also pushed us to get aside, but we objected to their actions," the complainant who was stabbed told police.Suddenly, one of the men manhandled them and stabbed the complainant on the right side of his abdomen with a knife, while another attacked his friend's abdomen. After inflicting injuries on both of them, the attackers fled on their motorcycles. One of the victims' friends, who was also present, took them to hospital.A case was registered under sections 109(1) (attempted murder) and 3(5) (common intention) of BNS at Model Town police station. DCP (Northwest) Bhisham Singh formed a team under SHO (Model Town) Ashok Giri to apprehend the accused."The team examined the victims in detail, and CCTV footage from all surrounding establishments was collected and analysed to trace the movements and possible escape routes of the suspects after attacking the two youths," police said.Acting on intelligence from local sources and a detailed analysis of call detail records (CDRs), police conducted a raid at multiple locations. The operation led to the arrests of Krishna and Krishna Kashyap. A 13-year-old boy was also apprehended in the case.During their interrogation, the suspects confessed to their roles in the stabbing. Based on their statements, police were able to recover the blood-stained knife used in the crime. Police said that efforts are under way to verify the identity of a fourth assailant and apprehend him as soon as possible.
