Mumbai: Police on Tuesday detained an Antop Hill resident a day after the body of his missing four-year-old stepdaughter was found in the sea near Sassoon Dock in south Mumbai.On Monday, around 8.30am, a local fisherman, Gopi Dhanu, spotted the girl's body drifting near the dock. He brought the body ashore and alerted police.Colaba police sent the body to St George Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Prima facie, it is suspected that she was strangulated and her body dumped into the sea, said police.As the body's description matched that of a girl who was recently reported missing from the Antop Hill area by her mother and stepfather, Colaba cops have informed the police station there.
