Delhi man arrested in Karnataka for selling fake weight-loss powder

Bengaluru: A 56-year-old man from Delhi was arrested by Tumakuru police for allegedly running a sophisticated online operation selling counterfeit weight-loss powder and spurious ayurvedic products.During investigation, police discovered the accused -- Rajeev Khanna from Shalimar Bagh -- and his sons -- Himanshu Khanna and Manan Khanna -- were filling wheat flour inside the branded packets of weight-loss powder. The sons are missing.A businessman from Tumakuru, manufacturing the weight-loss powder, told police the accused were selling spurious materials by using her brand name. Accordingly, police raided Khanna's godown on March 27 and seized the products packed in different brand names. "We produced Khanna before a court in Delhi and brought him to Tumakuru on transit warrant. He has been remanded in judicial custody," an investigating officer said.
