Hyderabad, April 2 (RAHNUMA): Actress Shriya Saran on Thursday unveiled 'MINAR', India's first Fortified Protein Plus Multigrain Atta, aimed at combating malnutrition and micronutrient deficiencies. The product, developed by Sree Sai Roller Flour Mills, offers up to 50% higher protein than regular wheat flour, with three rotis meeting nearly one-third of an adult's daily protein requirement. Blending Sharbati wheat with soy, maize and chana, the atta is enriched with essential nutrients such as iron, folic acid, Vitamin B12, zinc and Vitamin A to address "hidden hunger" and boost immunity. On this occasion, Shriya Saran highlighted the importance of mindful eating, stating that evolving food habits have led to nutritional gaps. She emphasised that fortified foods can significantly help address deficiencies and improve overall health outcomes. A technical workshop on wheat flour fortification was conducted alongside the launch.
