Bengaluru News: Bengaluru Police have uncovered a major interstate racket involved in producing and supplying fake Nandini ghee to the city. The operation, which stretched from Tamil Nadu to Bengaluru, targeted one of South India's most trusted dairy brands. Four men linked to the network have been arrested. According to officials, the adulterated ghee was manufactured in Tamil Nadu and then transported to Bengaluru, where it was sold in the market as genuine Nandini ghee. The racket took advantage of the high demand for the brand and pushed large quantities of counterfeit products into shops and supply chains. According to a NDTV report, Investigators searched godowns, shops and vehicles connected with Krishna Enterprises in Nanjamba Agrahara, Chamarajpet, which they believe functioned as the main centre for the distribution of the fake items. During the operation, police intercepted a vehicle carrying adulterated ghee already packed in counterfeit Nandini sachets and plastic bottles. The consignment had reportedly been brought in from Tamil Nadu. Those arrested have been identified as Mahendra, a KMF distributor, his son Deepak, along with Muniraju and Abhiarasu. The CCB's Special Investigation Division has registered a case, and further investigation is under way. Forensic Science Laboratory testing will determine the full extent of the adulteration.
