Uttar Pradesh cadre Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Rinku Singh Rahi has resigned from his post. A member of the 2022 batch, he had drawn significant public attention over the past year due to a series of controversial and dramatic incidents during his service. In July 2025, while serving as Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) in Shahjahanpur, Rahi found four people urinating in public during an inspection and made them do sit-ups as punishment.
