Delhi Pollution Live Updates: Dense smog shrouds National Capital, visibility drops sharply, Non-PUCC vehicles barred from fuel

New Delhi: The Rekha Gupta-led Delhi government has announced strict measures to curb rising pollution levels in the National Capital. Vehicles without a Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate will no longer be allowed to purchase petrol or diesel. Only BS VI-compliant vehicles will be permitted to operate within city limits; all older vehicles will face restrictions. Delhi's air quality improved marginally on Tuesday, with the AQI at 377, down from 498 a day earlier. Dense smog and low visibility persisted, and 11 out of 40 monitoring stations, including Jahangirpuri, Mundka, and Wazirpur, recorded 'severe' air quality of 426, according to CPCB data.
