New Delhi: Delhi's air quality continued to remain in the 'severe' category on Sunday. The city's overall Air Quality Index (AQI) hovered around 420 in several areas. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), cloud conditions are likely to be favourable between October 28 and 30. Delhi could witness its first artificial rainfall on October 29. At Anand Vihar, one of Delhi's most polluted monitoring stations, the AQI touched 420 on Sunday morning. It fell squarely in the 'severe' range. Other parts of the city recorded slightly lower levels. Data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) showed AQI readings of 287 at Lodhi Road and 325 near India Gate, both in the 'very poor' category. In Vivek Vihar, the AQI was relatively better at 205. Delhi to test 'cloud seeding' amid severe pollution The Delhi government has intensified measures such as deploying water sprinklers across major roads and construction zones.
