New Delhi: Odisha's disaster management teams are on alert in view of the threat of a cyclonic storm in the state. Starting October 27, the low-pressure area forming over the Bay of Bengal may bring heavy rainfall to the state. It is important to note that the cyclone's impact will also affect Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal. These regions are likely to experience heavy rain from today and over the next three days. As per the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rainfall may begin in South 24 Parganas, East, and West Medinipur districts from Sunday.
