Scattered rainfall hits Hyderabad | Hyderabad News - The Times of India

Hyderabad: Scattered showers were observed in the city on Friday, causing traffic snarls in several areas. According to data from the Telangana Development Planning Society, Saidabad recorded the highest rainfall at 16 mm, followed by Edi Bazar community hall (Charminar) with 13.8 mm, Musheerabad police station area with 13.5 mm, and Bandlaguda with 12.5 mm.The downpour led to traffic disruptions across the city. The Musarambagh bridge was closed after the Musi river overflowed on Friday, forcing police to divert vehicles between Golnaka and Malakpet. Slow-moving traffic was also reported in Kukatpally and Hitec City during peak hours. Chetana Kumari, a techie from Madhapur, expressed her frustration, "Be it scattered rainfall or heavy, at the end of the day, the traffic issues seem to remain, causing inconvenience to the city residents."The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast more rain across Telangana, warning of heavy to very heavy showers in the coming days.
