Hyderabad: Senior Judge of the Telangana High Court, Justice Puthichira Sam Koshy, has been appointed as the Acting Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court until Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh assumes charge as Chief Justice. Following the transfer of Justice Sujoy Paul, who had been serving as Acting Chief Justice, the Union law ministry issued a notification appointing Justice Sam Koshy to the position. Justice Koshy was elevated as a Judge of the Chhattisgarh High Court in 2013 and was transferred to the Telangana High Court in July 2023. Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh is scheduled to be sworn in as Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court on July 19 at 12.30 pm. Until then, Justice Sam Koshy will serve as the Acting Chief Justice.
