Mumbai: Transport commissioner's office on Thursday issued a statement pointing out that "services like Rapido, Uber, and Ola are engaging in illegal passenger transport in metropolitan areas without obtaining necessary licenses as mandated under Section 93 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, and the Motor Vehicle Aggregator Guidelines, 2020", and that action has been initiated.
