HYDERABAD - Under the directives of DIGP Shaheed Benazirabad Range, Parvez Ahmed Chandio, strict and foolproof security arrangements have been implemented throughout the range to ensure peace and order during Muharram processions and Majalis. According to police spokesperson, heavy contingents of police and Rangers have been deployed along the routes of all ongoing processions and Majalis across the region. Security personnel remain on high alert and are performing their duties with full dedication and vigilance. Spokesperson said that police officers, personnel, lady police, intelligence staff, bomb disposal squads, special mobile units, and 15 responders are all actively deployed to safeguard these religious gatherings. On the other hand entry and exit points of all processions and Majalis are under strict surveillance, with thorough checking underway. Suspected individuals are being closely monitored to prevent any untoward incidents. DSPs and SHOs are personally visiting security points to review deployment positions and duty plans. Meanwhile, specially established control rooms are actively monitoring the processions and Majalis through surveillance systems.
