Azamgarh Horror: 32-Year-Old Man Kills Mother, 2 Kids, Then Dies By Suicide In Shocking UP Family Shooting

Azamgarh: A shocking case of family violence rocked Azamgarh district on Tuesday when a 32-year-old man opened fire on his mother, young son and daughter, and then took his own life. The incident took place in Ward No. 10 of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Nagar under Jehanaganj police station limits. According to initial reports, Neeraj Pandey, who worked at a petrol station in Varanasi, had returned to his native village just a day earlier. Around noon, in an apparent fit of rage during a domestic dispute, he shot his mother Chandrakala, his daughter Shubhi, and his son Sangharsh, before turning the gun on himself. Locals rushed to the scene after hearing the gunshots and immediately arranged for the victims to be taken to the Jehanaganj Health Centre. Neeraj and his mother were declared dead on arrival. The children were referred to the district hospital in critical condition, where Sangharsh was also declared dead. Shubhi is currently undergoing treatment, and doctors describe her condition as stable despite a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Police have recovered the pistol used in the incident and launched an investigation. According to SSP Hemraj Meena, the incident appears to have stemmed from domestic discord, possibly aggravated by alcohol use.
