A 45-year-old man, D. Prakash of Santhaipettai Street, was found murdered in the same locality in Srivilliputtur town in the early hours of Thursday. The police said that the deceased was assisting his father in renting out public address system in the town. On Wednesday, he had left for work and did not return home till late in the night. Prakash's uncle, Edwin got a phone call at around 5.10 a.m. on Thursday from a stranger, on his mobile phone, who said that Prakash was lying dead with bleeding injuries. When the family members went in search of Prakash, the family found his body in a gunny bag on the street. The mobile phone from which the call was made remained switched off, the police said. Based on a complaint from S. Domonic, father of Prakash, Srivilliputtur Town police have registered a case of murder. The police have picked up two suspects in this connection.
