Bathinda: The anti-gangster task force (AGTF) of Punjab Police, in a joint operation with Muktsar police, arrested three persons and seized two pistols, 10 live cartridges, and 174 grams of heroin from them, said Punjab director general of police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav on Sunday.Accused Gaurav Kumar alias Billa, Vikasdeep Singh, and Lovepreet Singh are residents of Muktsar, and were wanted in multiple criminal cases.Yadav said Billa was a fugitive in a case registered at Malout City police station, while Vikasdeep and Lovepreet were wanted in cases registered at Muktsar City police station. Preliminary investigation revealed the trio was planning to eliminate a rival, he said.The DGP said an investigation was ongoing to establish forward and backward links in this case.Additional director general of police (AGTF) Promod Ban said a police team noticed the trio examining a polythene bag under a flyover. When spotted by the police, the accused attempted to flee, but were apprehended near GT Road-Bathinda roundabout, Malout.
