NEW DELHII: Congress MP Rajiv Shukla on Tuesday said that Lok Sabha leader of opposition Rahul Gandhi, accompanied by a delegation of Congress leaders, have departed for Sambhal. "Rahul Gandhi and the Congress delegation have left for Sambhal directly from Parliament," Shukla told ANI. The visit follows a stone-pelting incident that occurred on November 24 when a team arrived to survey the Shahi Jama Masjid. On Monday, Rahul Gandhi criticized the BJP over the Sambhal incident, accusing the ruling party of "insensitive actions" in handling the violence.
