Lucknow: A three-year-old girl, sleeping with her mother under a bridge near Alambagh metro station, was abducted, raped and dumped in a nearby thickets in the city on Wednesday/Thursday night.The victim suffered deep wounds in her private parts and is recuperating at a hospital.Police teams have been formed to track down the miscreant, said DCP Central Ashish Srivastava.A case under the charges of rape and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act), 2012, was registered against the unidentified miscreant.The police teams were scanning CCTV footage to reach the rapist."Officials are with the parents of the girl, and we are providing all help to the family," said Srivastava.The incident came to light when officials of One Stop, an organisation helping women, informed the police.The doctors attending the girl said she bled profusely through the deep wound in her private part, and her condition was critical.They said her private part was found badly damaged, and she would have to undergo plastic surgery.It is suspected that an unknown person took her away and after raping her, he threw her away, thinking she was dead.A handicapped person heard the girl screaming in pain at around 500 metres from her dwelling place, and after this, he informed the victim's family."After completing the work, we slept. Late at night on Wednesday, someone took the girl away. At 4 am on Thursday, an old man woke us up, and then we came to know about the incident," said the victim's kin.He said he, along with the girl's father, took her to Lokbandhu hospital, where the doctors examined her and informed them that she was raped."She was in a critical condition and was immediately shifted to the emergency ICU. Many experts, including a gynaecologist, paediatric expert, and a surgeon, examined the girl," said Dr Rajiv Dixit, medical superintendent, Lokbandhu hospital.He said that the initial investigation revealed multiple injuries in the girl's private parts, due to which she needed immediate surgery. The girl is being treated there under the supervision of Dr JD Rawat.
