Shillong, Apr 6 (PTI) The body of a woman, who had been missing since last month, was found stuffed in a sack and dumped in a stream near Nongrah here on Monday, police said. The body was discovered by locals, who alerted police. East Khasi Hills SP Vivek Syiem said the deceased is believed to be the woman who had been reported missing since March 20. The victim was a resident of Shillong and originally hailed from Meghalaya's West Jaintia Hills district, he said. Family members later arrived

SHILLONG, April 2: A local court on Thursday evening remanded Kennedy Khongsit (32), the prime accused in the murder of a seven-year-old boy from Nongrah, to eight days of police custody. Shillong, April 7: The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) on Tuesday declared the results of the Class 12 examinations, recording an overall pass percentage of 86.84, slightly lower than last year's 87.10 per cent, officials said. Out of 48,623 candidates who appeared for the examination, a total of 42,228 students successfully cleared it.
