Ahmedabad: Online registration for admissions under the Right to Education Act for the 2026-27 academic year will begin on Saturday and continue until April 17, opening Class 1 admission opportunities for economically weaker and middle-class families.More than 84,000 seats will be available in private schools across the state this year, down from around 94,000 seats offered last year. Under RTE norms, 25% of seats in private schools are reserved for students from disadvantaged backgrounds, based on the total admissions granted in the previous year. Officials from the Directorate of Primary Education said parents were given sufficient time to collect required documents to help ensure a smoother application process. Of the total seats, more than 41,000 are in Gujarati medium schools, 40,262 in English medium, 2,235 in Hindi medium and 320 in other mediums. A major change this year allows parents to choose the school shift, either morning or afternoon, along with the school itself. This option was not available earlier. The admission process also includes a revision in priority criteria. While children from anganwadi centres were previously given preference over reserved-category applicants, priority this year will go to children from reserved categories.
Till now there has been no update on the SSC CGL result announcement date and time yet. The Commission conducted the Tier I CGL examination from September 9 to September 24, 2024. The examination was held across the country at various exam centres. The Tier-I exam consisted of Objective-Type, multiple-choice questions on General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension.
