He highlighted that the exercise is being carried out using advanced digital tools, including a dedicated house-listing application, GIS mapping, satellite imagery and block-level scientific planning to ensure accuracy and transparency in data collection. He further said that a Self-Enumeration facility has been introduced through an online portal, allowing citizens to voluntarily submit their data. He urged people to visit the official portal and participate actively, adding that the platform is user-friendly and designed for secure and convenient data submission. The officer said that senior constitutional authorities, including the President, Vice-President and Prime Minister, have already participated in the Self-Enumeration process, setting an example for citizens to follow. Deputy Director Census Amit Kumar, addressing the media on behalf of the Director, said the self-enumeration phase will be conducted from May 17 to May 31, 2026.
