Mumbai: IndiGo will deploy its second Airbus A321XLR on the Delhi-Istanbul route on daily service from April 19. The model, also the second for India, will enable IndiGo to offer onward connections to over 50 international destinations via its codeshare partnership with Turkish Airlines. IndiGo welcomed India's first A321XLR on January 7, which was deployed on Mumbai-Athens route. The new-generation aircraft is known for offering enhanced range, fuel efficiency, and cabin comfort. The airline had placed an order of 40 aircraft of this model, out of which nine are expected to be delivered this year. As the airline geared up to receive the second delivery, it announced plans to deploy the aircraft on Delhi-Athens route. For the first time in this sector, IndiGo will offer a dual‑class configuration with 183 economy seats and 12 IndiGoStretch seats, which is IndiGo's tailor-made business product. The aircraft will be equipped with a next‑generation digital inflight entertainment system that will enable customers to stream a wide selection of content, including Indian and international films, television shows, games, anime, and more, directly on their personal devices.
