Mumbai's Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 60 on Thursday, falling into the 'Satisfactory' category. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light rain and thunderstorms in Mumbai, Thane, Raigad and several parts of Maharashtra on Thursday. According to the weather bulletin, isolated areas may see thunderstorms with lightning, light to moderate rainfall and gusty winds of 30-40 km per hour. The IMD has issued a yellow alert for Thane, Raigad and many districts in Maharashtra. These include Ratnagiri, Satara, Pune Ghats, Sangli, Solapur, Parbhani, Nanded, Latur, Dharashiv, Akola, Amravati, Bhandara, Buldhana, Nagpur, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Washim, Wardha and Yavatmal. A yellow alert means people should stay aware of possible bad weather and take precautions. An orange alert has been issued for Dhule, Nashik, Jalgaon, Nandurbar, Pune, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna and Beed.
