HYDERABAD: Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy said on Wednesday that an Integrated Bhu Bharati portal will be launched on a pilot basis in five mandals from April 2, marking the first step toward resolving land disputes. Based on the outcomes, necessary modifications will be made before expanding it further. The minister said that the portal was developed by bringing the Land, Survey, and Registration departments under one umbrella to ensure transparent and simplified services for farmers. During a teleconference with revenue officials he said that the portal was designed from a farmer-centric perspective and instructed officials to ensure that no inconvenience is caused to the general public, especially farmers. The pilot will be implemented in Kusumanchi (Khammam district), Aswaraopeta (Bhadradri Kothagudem district), Amangal (Rangareddy district), Vatpally (Sangareddy district), and Kosgi (Narayanpet district). District Collectors were directed to closely monitor the functioning of the portal. The minister stated that, unlike earlier, farmers would no longer need to visit Mee Seva centres for land-related services, as they can now be accessed from home. Previously, farmers had to frequently visit survey officials to resolve land boundary issues. Now, they can apply through the Bhu Bharati portal from anywhere. Once a farmer logs in, details of their land will be displayed. They can request a survey by specifying the extent of land, and the applicable fee will be shown. After payment, the request will be forwarded to a licensed surveyor in the respective village. Within two days, notices will be issued to neighbouring landowners. The survey date will be finalised within seven days, and the survey will be completed using rovers.
New Delhi: The Centre has asked the states and union territories to make any proposed changes in the boundaries of administrative jurisdictions before December 31, 2025, when they will freeze for the Census-2027 exercise and the first phase of the decadal population count will begin on April 1 next year, according to a communication sent by the registrar general and census commissioner of India, Mritunjay Kumar Narayan, on June 27.
