Hyderabad: Ahead of the impending local bodies elections, AICC general secretary (organisation) K.C. Venugopal on Sunday said that the party would complete the work of strengthening its mandal-level structure by July 30 and take the state government's welfare scheme benefits to the people's notice. Venugopal, who attended several programmes here last week, in the presence of AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge, said: "A key focus of our discussions was the Congress party's ongoing organisation-strengthening mission in Telangana. A majority of block, mandal, and division-level appointments have already been made." In his post on X, Venugopal said: "The mandal-level structure will be completed by July 30, and gram panchayat-level committees by August 30 -- building a robust and responsive party framework at the grassroots." He said the party had reviewed the implementation of key welfare measures by the state government, including the caste census, which he called "a landmark step towards equity and justice."
