Margao: The higher secondary school certificate (HSSC) examinations for Class XII commenced on Monday across 20 examination centres in the state. A total of 17,718 students from arts, commerce, science and vocational streams are appearing for the exams. This is a slight increase from last year's 17,511 students. The examination will continue until March 1, said a press release by the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. Board officials said that students were instructed to arrive 45 minutes before the exam's start time to ensure smooth proceedings. The seating arrangements have been made available on the Board's official website for easy reference. "All necessary arrangements have been made to ensure fair and smooth conduct of the examinations," a board official said. The examination centres have been equipped with adequate facilities to accommodate the increased number of candidates this year, the official said.
The Maharashtra State Board has released the 2026 exam schedules for Class 10 and Class 12. HSC written exams are from February 10 to March 18, 2026.
