Margao: The higher secondary school certificate (HSSC) examinations for Class XII commenced on Monday across 20 examination centres in the state. A total of 17,718 students from arts, commerce, science and vocational streams are appearing for the exams. This is a slight increase from last year's 17,511 students. Gandhinagar: The state govt on Thursday said it disbursed financial assistance of Rs 28 crore to students under the Namo Saraswati Vigyan Sadhana Yojana, which was announced in the current year's budget.
