Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner Karnan has urged residents to take advantage of the Early Bird Scheme by paying property tax in advance for 2026 to 2027. An announcement to this effect was issued on Tuesday. He stated that those who pay the entire property tax for the current financial year in advance during April will receive a five per cent discount. However, he clarified that this discount will not be applicable on arrears from previous years. Commissioner Karnan encouraged all property tax payers under the GHMC area to settle their dues early to avail the government incentive.
