Delhi Rains: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday afternoon issued an orange alert for light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in Delhi. The orange alert will be in effect till 5:20 pm, according to the IMD nowcast. According to the nowcast, light to moderate rain with gusty winds of up to 60 km per hour is likely to lash Delhi. Meanwhile, the sky over Delhi has turned cloudy, bringing a slight respite from the scorching weather. North India has seen a change in the weather in the past few days. The change in weather pattern is because of a western disturbance over north Iran and the Caspian Sea region, accompanied by an active cyclonic circulation over northwest Rajasthan.
