Shimla, Mar 30 (PTI) Mild snowfall continued in the higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh on Monday, with Keylong receiving 2 cm of snow while intermittent rains lashed a few areas in the middle and lower hills. Snowfall was also reported in the higher reaches of Dharamshala in Kangra district, while hailstorms damaged stone fruits in the Kumarsein area of Shimla district. The snowfall has raised hopes in the tourism industry, with expectations of a good season and heavy tourist inflow. The Shimla Met Office has predicted a wet spell in the state till April 5, as a fresh western disturbance is likely to affect northwest India from April 2. The Met Office also issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds with wind speeds of 40-60 kmph in five districts on Tuesday and ten districts on Friday. Dharamshala recorded 34.2 mm of rain in the past 24 hours, followed by Sarahan (32.7 mm), Kasauli (32 mm), Dharampur (27.6 mm), Kangra (21.6 mm), Pachhad (20.4 mm), Solan (18.4 mm), Manali (15 mm), Seobagh (11.4 mm), and Rohru (10 mm).
