New Delhi, Dec 17 (UNI) The Bajaj Pune Grand Tour 2026, India's first-ever UCI 2.2 multi-stage road cycling race, unveiled its heritage-inspired trophy at a ceremony held in the national capital on Tuesday. The unveiling was led by union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Dr Mansukh Mandaviya and Indian Olympic Association (IOA) President P.T. Usha, alongside senior officials from the Cycling Federation of India (CFI) and the Pune district administration. Crafted by Pune's renowned Tambat Aali community of traditional coppersmiths, the trophy reflects India's cultural heritage while symbolising the country's growing ambition to establish itself on the global cycling map. The handcrafted piece is being positioned as the 'Pride of Pune' and represents the spirit, scale and aspirations of a new India. Over the next 15 days, the trophy will travel across multiple states, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra, spreading the message that India is ready to host world-class cycling events rooted in tradition and excellence. The Bajaj Pune Grand Tour is scheduled to take place from January 19 to 23, 2026, and will feature a four-day, four-stage continental men's road race covering a total distance of 437 kilometres.
