Patna: Patna traffic police have issued fresh directions for visitors arriving by vehicle at the ongoing Saras Mela at Gandhi Maidan, mandating entry exclusively through gate number 10 and compulsory parking within the designated areas inside the venue. Roadside parking or parking at any unauthorised location has been strictly prohibited and violators will face legal action, including fines and towing of vehicles.The advisory follows severe traffic congestion around Gandhi Maidan last Saturday and Sunday, when haphazard parking by fair-goers blocked roads and caused long traffic jams. The situation led to major inconvenience for daily commuters, locals and other visitors to the area.Thousands of people are visiting the fair every day to shop, savour local delicacies and enjoy folk performances. The event will continue till Dec 28."With such heavy footfall and vehicular movement expected throughout the event, strict adherence to parking rules is essential to keep traffic flowing smoothly and ensure safety for everyone. Patna traffic police has appealed to the public for full cooperation.
