Jamshedpur: The counting of votes for the 2025 Ghatsila Assembly by-election will take place on November 14 at the Jamshedpur Co-operative College, where counting will be conducted in 20 rounds across 15 tables under tight supervision and security. Preparations have reached the final stage, with the district administration making comprehensive arrangements to ensure a transparent and error-free process. District Election Officer Karn Satyarthi reviewed the preparations and addressed the final training session for counting personnel held at the Women's University, Jamshedpur. The training focused on familiarizing the staff with the Election Commission's guidelines and ensuring that every stage of counting is conducted with accuracy and impartiality. As per the arrangements, each counting table will be manned by a three-member team comprising a counting supervisor, a counting assistant, and a micro-observer. Supervisors have been assigned the task of verifying EVM seals, supervising the counting procedure, and maintaining result sheets. Counting assistants will be responsible for reading the data from the control unit, entering figures, and completing relevant forms. Micro-observers, appointed to ensure transparency, will closely monitor every round of counting in accordance with Election Commission norms.
