Wayanad tiger autopsy: Neck wounds cause of death, Radha's remnants found inside

Wayanad: The post-mortem examination of a man-eater tiger, which was found dead outside a house near a forest in Pacharakolli here, revealed that it died from deep wounds on its neck. The four fresh wounds were inflicted on Sunday night, likely during a fight with another tiger. The tiger is estimated to be between five and seven years old. Forest department officials confirmed that this was the same tiger responsible for killing Radha, a tribal woman, on January 24. Remnants of clothing, hair, and earrings suspected to belong to the victim were recovered during the post-mortem. Addressing the media, Chief Wildlife Warden Pramod Krishnan stated that no internal injuries were detected during the examination. "The tiger was severely weakened after the fight. It was in this state that the special team located it in the forest at midnight on Sunday," Krishnan said. The carcass will be cremated, with preparations for the funeral currently underway.
