Jammu, Oct 21: National Police Day, popularly known as Police Commemoration Day, was observed with solemnity and reverence across all districts of Jammu Province. The day marks the remembrance of ten brave personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty on October 21, 1959, while defending the nation's frontiers at Hot Springs, Ladakh. According to a statement issued here, Commemorative functions were organized in all ten districts of Jammu Zone, where senior police officers, retired personnel, members of martyrs' families, and representatives from civil society gathered to pay homage to the fallen heroes.
