Dibrugarh: Three soldiers sustained "minor abrasions" in a grenade attack at an Army camp in Assam's Tinsukia district by Ulfa-I early Friday, officials said, reports Rajib Dutta.The militants targeted Army's 2 Grenadiers' camp at Kakopathar around 12.40am, launching three grenades, followed by nearly 30 minutes of gunfire from automatic weapons, an Army official said. "Troops responded instantly..., exercising caution to avoid collateral damage to nearby civilian homes," the official said, adding that the retaliatory fire forced the attackers to retreat.
