New Delhi: Delhi Police have questioned nearly 100 people, among them 67 guards on the South Asian University (SAU) campus, where an 18-year-old female student has alleged that four men tried to gangrape her. Police have also spoken to the girl to record the exact sequence of events. The student has alleged that one of her attackers was a campus guard.Investigators have matched the locations of the guards at the time of the alleged attack. Staff and students too were questioned. The cops have found no trace of the four suspects. Footage of 40 CCTV cameras was reviewed. Police have seen footage of the girl walking in certain areas on the campus. A police source said that investigators suspect that the blackmail emails the girl got may have been from someone in SAU. According to the FIR, the student got emails from someone 2-3 days before the assault, asking her to meet him at the university guesthouse.On Sunday, after 6 pm, the girl allegedly got threat messages on social media. The sender emailed a morphed, cropped version of her profile picture and demanded that she reach the university gate within an hour. He threatened he would circulate the images among students if she failed to meet him.The girl took a back route from the hostel and diverted toward the convocation centre, which is a construction site that is typically deserted.According to police, a guard noticed her, and shortly after, a middle-aged man arrived, and both began questioning her in a hostile manner.
