After the death of at least 20 children in Madhya Pradesh due to the consumption of contaminated cough syrup, the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) on Wednesday issued a strict advisory for drug controllers of all states and Union Territories and instructed them to ensure every batch of raw material and finished formulation is properly tested before use or sale.
