Hyderabad: Chief minister Revanth Reddy, on Sunday, urged farmers and other landowners to opt for an "out-of-court settlement" and assured them of a generous compensation package for land acquired for Bharat Future City."Don't fall into the trap of political parties and spend years running around the courts. I understand the bond farmers have with their land and how much they value it. I will not take your land for a pittance, but will offer fair compensation," he said, seeking their cooperation in building one of the world's best cities.Speaking to a large gathering after performing the bhumi puja for the construction of the Future City Development Authority (FCDA) corporate office in Meerkhanpet village in the Rangareddy district, Revanth said that the opposition had attempted to spread false propaganda against the Future City project, and that vested interests had conspired to stall it.He further said, "They even levelled allegations against me, claiming that I had acquired land here because of which I had taken up the Future City project. If I owned any land here, it could not be hidden like money and gems. The revenue records will prove it.
