Phulbani (Odisha), Sep 12 (PTI) At least eight boys of a state-run tribal welfare residential (TRW) school in Odisha's Kandhamal district were admitted to hospital on Friday after some fellow students allegedly applied a strong adhesive to their eyes while they were asleep, police said. Bhubaneswar: Eight students of Salaguda Sevashram School in Odisha's Kandhamal district were hospitalised on Friday after some of their peers allegedly poured adhesive into their eyes while they were asleep in the hostel. The incident came to light in the morning when the children woke up in severe pain, unable to open their eyes. They were first taken to Gochhapada Medical Centre and later shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital in Phulbani after their condition was found to be serious. Berhampur: The Kandhamal administration on Saturday suspended Manoranjan Sahu, headmaster-cum-superintendent of a govt residential school, following hospitalisation of eight hostellers after adhesive was allegedly applied to their eyes by fellow students while asleep on Thursday night.
