Affairs (MHA) on Thursday appointed senior IPS officer Satish Golcha as the new Commissioner of Police, Delhi. As per the MHA notification issued on August 21, Golcha will take charge with immediate effect and continue in the post until further orders. The order read, "With the approval of the competent authority, Satish Golcha, presently serving as DG (Prisons), Delhi, is appointed as the Commissioner of Police, Delhi, with effect from the date he assumes charge and until further orders."
