Jaipur: Continuous heavy rainfall across Rajasthan has triggered flooding, claimed multiple lives, and caused severe disruptions in several districts. In Dholpur, rising water levels in the Parvati River forced authorities to open six gates of the Parvati Dam Friday, releasing 9,844 cusecs of water. Several areas in the district were cut off due to waterlogging and a rise in the Chambal River.The situation worsened in other parts of the state, including Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, Sawai Madhopur, Tonk, Churu, Bikaner, and Sikar. In Hanumangarh's Udasar village, a four-year-old girl died when the roof of a mud house collapsed. In Sikar's Gokulpura police station area, a young man drowned in a pond.
