Indore (Madhya Pradesh): 'No Helmet-No Petrol' prohibitory order come into effect in the district from today. The officials of the district administration and Food and Civil suppliers enforced the order at the ground. Two petrol pumps of the district were sealed on Friday for allowing refueling of two wheelers with riders who were not wearing helmets. Collector Asheesh Singh issued another order on Friday. Accordingly no entry will be given in government officers to riders, if they are not wearing a helmet. The order is for staff and visitors both. Through a letter the collector has directed all office heads of the district to ensure that the instructions and provisions issued regarding wearing helmets are followed compulsorily and has instructed all head of the departments to ensure that all officers and staff should come to the office wearing helmets and even visitors to offices should be given entry only if they are wearing ISI marked helmet. On the day of the implementation of 'no helmet-no petrol' prohibitory order on Friday Collector Singh clarified that there will be no compromise with road safety. The orders will be mandatory for all petrol pumps in the district and strict punitive action will be taken on its violation. Under the direction of Joint Collector and SDM Kanadaiya Omnarayan Badkul, a surprise inspection was conducted on Friday at SR Kumawat Fuels (BPCL Petrol Pump) located in Village Arandia at Bypass. During the inspection, it was found that petrol pump proprietor Abhishek Kumawat was giving petrol to two-wheeler riders without helmets. Along with this, no information board related to helmet compulsory was also displayed in the pump premises, which was a clear violation of the instructions. Taking the above situation seriously, SDM Badkul and junior supply officer SS Gamad in the presence of revenue inspector Vishal Sharma and patwari Pushpendra Jadoun sealed the petrol pump with immediate effect till further orders. One more petrol pump has been sealed on the same ground. Employee organisations come out in support Various employee organisations have supported the instructions issued by Collector Singh regarding wearing helmets. The office bearers of various employee organisations, led by Harish Boyat, reached the Collector Office on Friday and meet the Collector.
