Patna: Police have requested the list of security personnel at the private hospital in connection with the security lapses raised after the murder of gangster Chandan Mishra. Authorities have specifically sought to identify all staff who were on duty on the day of the incident. The move is part of the ongoing investigation to ascertain whether any negligence or gaps in deployment contributed to the tragic event.Patna SP (central) Diksha said security deployed at the hospital are being questioned and further review of old CCTV footage and technical evidence is ongoing. "As per the list provided by the hospital administration, around 15-20 security personnel were deployed on the morning of July 17, when the murder took place," she said.The police identified the main shooter as Tausif Raja alias Badshah, who was leading the other four shooters and is a resident of Phulwarisharif's Gulistan area. His other associates have been identified as Balwant, Nilesh, Suryabhan, Abhishek and Nishu, all from Buxar district.Patna SSP Kartikeya K Sharma said the team has been investigating the involvement of the security personnel in the smooth access of the shooters with weapons inside the hospital premises. "In the CCTV footage, the shooters were not stopped or checked at any checkpoints by the security personnel. They entered the hospital without any interventions and easily managed to escape," he said."We will also check the previous CCTV footage. The main shooter, Tausif, visited the hospital several times before carrying out the incident. His relative was admitted to Paras HMRI hospital, and he visited him several times. He also did the recce and familiarised himself with all the security protocols," the SSP said.One member of the hospital administration denied the involvement of any security personnel with the shooters in the killing of Mishra, who was admitted to the hospital for treatment.
