Mumbai: A ticket collector (TC) was booked for allegedly sexually harassing a 7-year-old girl on a suburban train between Kalyan and Kasara on the Central Railway network last month, a police official said on Monday.The incident took place on June 12 when the girl was travelling with her mother to Kasara to take another train to Nashik, the official added."The 57-year-old TC, while checking tickets, pulled the girl towards himself in a manner the woman claimed was bad touch. After the journey, she sent a complaint to the deputy chief minister's office, which passed it on to Kalyan railway police station," he said.After her statement was recorded, a case was registered against the TC for sexual assault and sexual harassment under the POCSO Act as well as Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita section 74 (assault or criminal force against a woman with the intent to outrage her modesty), he said.
