Mumbai: Dy CM Ekanth Shinde has cracked down on Sena MLAs Sanjay Shirsat and Sanjay Gaikwad over their repeated controversial statements. At a meeting in Dadar, Shinde in a stern message told MLAs people point fingers at him and not at the MLAs for their statements. Shirsat and Gaikwad, whose comments have sparked controversy, were present at the meet, before which other Sena MLAs met Shinde and shared their concerns and apprised him of damage this caused to the party's image, Sena functionaries said. "In the past few days, certain incidents took place... People don't point fingers at you, they point at me for what you do. They ask me: 'What are your MLAs up to?' You all are my people. We are one family. Your disrepute is my disrepute. Don't waste energy on unnecessary matters. Speak less, work more," Shinde said. He also issued a warning.
