Ahmedabad,India - A preliminary report into the tragic Air India crash in Ahmedabad has revealed a critical detail: fuel switches were reportedly cut off before the aircraft impacted a building,killing all 150 people on board. The investigation, led by the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB), is meticulously examining all aspects of the disaster that shook the nation. The sole survivor of the devastating crash was Briton vishwash Kumar Ramesh. He described his survival as a "miracle" but expressed profound grief over his inability to save his brother, Ajay. The report also confirmed that both pilots,based in mumbai and having arrived in Ahmedabad the previous day,had taken an "adequate rest period" before the flight. Crew members underwent breath analyser tests and were deemed fit to operate the flight. Investigators found no notable bird activity near the flight path, a common cause of aviation accidents.The aircraft began to lose altitude before crossing the airport perimeter wall, a crucial detail in understanding the sequence of events. The retrieved engines have been quarantined for further examination. The preliminary report highlighted that fuel samples taken from the aircraft's refuelling tanks were "satisfactory."
