Chennai: MDMK general secretary Vaiko on Thursday said the party's deputy general secretary Mallai C E Sathya was indulging in anti-party activities for two years."He (Sathya) has close ties with those who left the party and criticize me. There are four people posting against me on social media, who are living abroad. Mallai Sathya is the one providing them with content. For the past two years, he has indulged in anti-party activities," Vaiko told reporters at Chennai airport.Sathya, who has been with Vaiko for 32 years, has faced issues in the party over the past two years, particularly after the ascent of party principal secretary Durai Vaiko. The tiff between the two surfaced in April this year when Durai Vaiko offered to step down from his post. Vaiko brought about a truce between Sathya and Durai Vaiko and addressed a joint press meet with the two who then promised to work together for the growth of MDMK.However, fresh trouble arose in the MDMK camp as Sathya's name and photo were not on any of the banners for the party's meeting at Poonamallee on Thursday.According to MDMK sources, party functionaries urged Vaiko to initiate action against Sathya during the working committee meeting held on June 30. However, Vaiko had refused."I just wanted to expose Mallai Sathya, my intention is not to act against him. He was like my brother, and I don't know why he acted against me," Vaiko said.
